Davis ticks off the milestones

The milestones keep on coming for Glasgow’s Sterling Davis, as he picked up his 1000th BBL Championship free-throw and 5000th point at the weekend.

The Rocks player/coach has been in the league for nine seasons now, and is closing in on a number of club records too.

He said: “To be honest I had no idea those milestones were in the horizon. It does have meaning because this is, and has been my life for a long time now.”

Davis now needs three rebounds to set a club benchmark of 910 boards and is currently involved in a somewhat bizarre race with Gareth Murray to set a new Rocks’ record of 420 fouls. Murray currently has 413 while Davis has 418.

Davis takes his Rocks side to face Mersey Tigers on Friday.
